Hi all,
I'm new here and this is my first post. I'm 71, retired, and a Quad admirer ever since I first heard the Quad 57's at my local hi fi store in 1970. ESLs have been an obsession with me ever since.
Although I don't own any Quad speakers, I'm addicted to the ESL sound, and I've been a DIY ESL builder for many years.
My current system is 6-channel stereo; streaming from a Logitech Transporter into a DBX Driverack DSP/crossover, feeding three Carver TFM-25 amps, driving DIY segmented wire-stator hybrid ESL's with 12" OB woofers, and a pair of DIY RiPol subs.
It still amazes me that Peter Walker mathematically modeled ESLs in the 1950's, and his equations remain the reference standard today. He's practically a God in the DIY ESL community.
Glad to be here and hoping to contribute!
Charlie
